Requests for repeat prescriptions can be made in the following ways:
- In person – drop your repeat slip off at reception having clearly marked the items required.
- By post – send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
- Online – via the link at the top of this page – you need to have obtained a user name and password. To do this you will need to take some form of official identification (e.g. your passport) to the surgery – this is for security reasons. Please contact the surgery for further information.
Electronic Prescription Service
The practice also offers the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). This means that your prescription can be sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice, where you live, work or shop. To find out more, talk to your usual pharmacy or click here to download a leaflet.
From time to time the local Commissioning Group Medicines Management Team instructs practices to change patient medication from one brand to another as a cost saving exercise. The replacement medicines will always have the same benefits as the previous ones and will not affect patient treatment in any way. If the clinician feels that the patient needs to be informed personally, then the patient will be contacted.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
